Meet Andrea Burley

Andrea Burley Physiotherapist at Peak Integrated Health Squamish B.C.

Background

Andrea is a Registered Physiotherapist with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Queen’s University. Her treatment approach is centred around each patient’s individual goals. She takes a comprehensive approach to assessment, looking beyond the site of injury to identify contributing biomechanical, training, and lifestyle factors.

Andrea uses a combination of manual therapy, dry needling, and individualized exercise prescription to help patients build confidence and return to the activities they enjoy. She has experience working with a wide range of sport-related injuries, with a particular interest in running injuries.

She is also trained in vestibular rehabilitation, treating vertigo and other vestibular dysfunctions.

As a competitive trail runner and mountain bike racer, Andrea understands the demands of training, competing, and staying active, as well as the frustration that can come with an injury. Whether your goal is getting back to everyday activities with your family, returning to your favourite sport, or chasing your next personal best, she will work with you to develop a treatment plan to help you get back to doing what you love.

Outside of the clinic, Andrea spends her summers trail running, mountain biking, bikepacking, and camping, while winters are often spent backcountry skiing.
